Spout, along with McGill and Gretchfish, live inside a cavern under Lake Ickygloomy where Camp Bottomlake resides. He used to have councillors at the camp, but he, McGill, and Gretchfish fed them to Squidsquat in order for him to leave the camp alone. He then helped set up a gate to separate the cavern from the rest of the lake.
Spout is a blue scaly fish person who looks remarkably like Squirt. The fin on his head resembles Squirt's hair, and he wears clothing nearly identical to Squirt's, except Spout's clothing is ripped at some places.
Role in seriesEdit
"Voyage to the Bottom of the Deep"Edit
When McGee, Gretchen, and Squirt accidentally stumble upon Camp Bottomlake, Gretchfish and the other Bottom Lurkers welcome them to the camp. Squirt and Spout then proceed to have fun together by looking at Spout's pet fish, and then using the fish to get back McGee and McGill when the two prank them.
The campers soon hold a bonfire, where McGee reveals that he accidentally destroyed the gate to Camp Bottomlake, shocking Spout and the other Bottom Lurkers. Spout then watches in panic as McGee dives into the nearby water, attracting Squidsquat. The Bottom Dwellers drive the squid away, and Spout agrees with McGill when he suggests feeding Squidsquat to drive him away.
When the Bottom Dwellers escape Squidsquat after realising that they were the meal, the squid tries to eat Spout and the Bottom Lurkers. McGee frees them, and the Bottom Lurkers escape in the submarine the Bottom Dwellers had. McGee sees and tries to stop, but he is captured by Squidsquat.
Inside the submarine, Spout warns McGill to read the vehicle's manual, but he ignores Spout. Spout then has his fin cut and his face covered in ketchup due to McGill fiddling with the controls. When McGill helps trap Squidsquat using the submarine's torpedo, he, Gretchfish, and Spout return and apologise for abandoning the Bottom Dwellers, who accept the apology. Spout then calls Squidsquat the new camp mascot, and tries to feed him a fish.
- His name is an actual word, and it refers to the plume of water vapour ejected from the blowhole of a whale.
